ALW Program Social Work Case Manager

Kate graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Master’s degree in Social Work in 2023. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina in 2019. During undergraduate school, Kate worked for non-profits in North Carolina advocating for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.  Kate also worked as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) in skilled nursing facilities and assisted living facilities while attending university.

It was during her time working as a long-term care CNA and social services intern that she fell in love with the field of social work and advocating for seniors’ rights, psychosocial well-being, dignity, and quality of life.

Kate became the Social Services Director at a skilled nursing facility in 2020. She remained in this position until her family decided to relocate to Sacramento, California in March of 2023. Kate joined the team at Senior Care Solutions in March 2023.

Throughout the years I have assisted seniors and their families through various stages of their lives as both a personal caregiver and social worker. It is my privilege to work as a social work case manager ensuring each client’s psychosocial wellbeing and needs are met”.
