ALW Program Social Work Case Manager

Dasia Turpen joined Senior Care Solutions as a Social Worker Case Manager in 2023. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in social work from California State University of Sacramento. During her education at Sacramento State, she started her case management career to develop and refine her skills as a case manager. She worked with families at low-income housing properties getting established with community resources. She ended her education with working in a mental health center as a social work intern in a high school. After her degree she began her experience as a social worker with working with the at-risk population in hospitals or skilled nursing facilities, transitioning back into the community either to low-income housing, back home, or into assisted living. In addition, she helped with getting this population connected to local resources and guiding them on how to learn essential skills so that they could thrive in the community. These experiences have shown her desire to be an advocate for others.
