Nursing Home/Skilled Nursing Facilities are available to patients whose primary need is skilled care or short-term rehabilitative services ordered by a doctor. These settings provide 24-hour nursing care, medical monitoring and supervision with physicians and clinical team on staff.

Note: While skilled nursing facilities offer long-term care, the current focus is on short-term rehabilitative services.

Costs and Pricing:

  • Shared room: $10,500+/month
  • Medicare (must qualify)                                                                         
  • Medi-Cal (must qualify)                  

How services are paid for:

  • Private pay
  • Medicare—rehabilitative services (limited number of days)
  • Medi-Cal—long-term custodial (minus share of cost)
  • Long term care insurance (LTC) (may have elimination period)
