Skilled Nursing Facilities provide supportive care to patients whose primary need is for availability of skilled nursing care on an extended basis. They provide around-the-clock nursing care for patients requiring medical treatment under the supervision of a physician. Generally, Skilled Nursing Facilities are for patients with serious or chronic medical conditions. Criteria can include sub acute care, long term care, adult day health care, Parkinson's, hospice, etc.
