Carol Kinsel, Owner of Senior Care Solutions, has been working with seniors and their families, dealing with placement and relocation, since 1997. Her personal experience as caregiver for her father with Alzheimer's disease has given her a passion for the problems the elderly deal with as they age, as well as the emotional issues involving families and placement decisions. A graduate of California State University at Sacramento, Carol left her career as a dental hygienist to help people navigate through the stressful process of finding appropriate senior care options.
"I did everything wrong when finding care options for my father which is the basis for the importance of educating families as they make these difficult decisions."
Listening, caring and guiding are truly our specialties.
After working behind the scenes of Senior Care Solutions, as co-owner, for twelve years, David Kinsel joined the team full time in the fall of 2008. Graduating from CSU Sacramento and Diablo Valley College, he worked as a dental hygienist for local dentists in the area for many years. His experiences acting as a caregiver for both his father and his father-in-law, as well as his work with elderly patients during his dental career, has helped to pave the way for his current role as a family consultant.
"I am very proud of the outstanding reputation our company has and our wonderful employees. We strive to continue to stay on top of all of the latest education and resources to be better able to serve our clients."
Gail Arno joined Senior Care Solutions in 1997 hoping simply to guide the wonderful members of a generation that was aging before her eyes to resources and options available to them. Gail went back to school focusing on the study of gerontology, case management and facility administration while working with thousands of seniors and family members. Gail is a certified case manager, certified gerontologist and licensed administrator for California Residential Care Facilities for the elderly.
"I can honestly say that it has been the most rewarding, comforting, periodically frustrating, wonderful, fulfilling experience of my life. Helping, listening, caring, thinking, creating and supporting my clients have allowed me to grow and those I have touched the ability to make informed decisions regarding their futures that have brought peace of mind and comfort to our hearts. It is a pleasure and an honor to do the work I do-how often do we hear that in the course of our work day?"
Ginger McMurchie joined the Senior Care Solutions team in 2006, but has been working with seniors and their families since 1998. She began as a respite volunteer for Mercy Hospice, where she was particularly moved by the services provided to families by the hospice staff. She has worked in both independent and assisted living settings and has been a manager for an in home care provider. Ginger also has personal experience providing care for her father in the late stages of his life. She is a graduate of UC Santa Cruz and has her RCFE license for the Department of Social Services for the state of California.
"I have seen families complete the circle from having in-home care to making the move to a residential care facility. I have great empathy for all family members involved in making transitions-whether it is bringing a caregiver into the home or moving mom or dad to an assisted living facility."
Christine Grmolyes has a long history of close to 15 years working with seniors in various capacities and levels of care from in-home care, assisted living and skilled nursing. Christine has a bachelor's degree from California State University in Sacramento and has continued her studies in healthcare administration and gerontology including a Certificate in Gerontology. Her passion for working with seniors, especially those with Alzheimer's and other forms of memory impairment, has carried over into her volunteer work. She has served on various committees and boards of senior care related organizations including the Greater Sacramento Area Alzheimer's Association, at which she is past President, the board of the Northern California Northern Nevada Alzheimer's Association and Del Oro Caregiver Resource Center, at which she is currently board President. "With my almost 15 years of experience in senior care I have seen seniors and their families struggle with the challenge of navigating the maze of care options and not knowing where to turn. Being able to provide support, direction, resources and encouragement to help relieve some of the stress and frustration along the way is so rewarding. Knowing each day that I have assisted a family through this journey enhances my passion for what I do."
Jessica Coyne joined Senior Care Solutions in February 2008. She graduated from Ball State University in Indiana with a Bachelor of Social Work.
